Pet Diaries
Day 2451

Apparently, the acolyte and sub-acolyte have hatched a new plan to bring us worshippers: they have spawned! We are much insulted since neither We nor Our Sister were consulted on this issue; we prefer Our worshippers fully grown since they are easier to train. However, We can accept the inevitable and We have taken pains to lie on the acolyte's stomach whenever possible to communicate with the offspring. We purr Our reassurances to it, and knead it with our paws especially now that the acolyte has become so cushiony. The offspring has communicated with Us fairly intelligently, though we know that the trauma of the birth process will erase it's memory and We will have to begin its training again.

I'm the Batcat, I got my name because of my benefactors love of something called comic books. (I look like Batman) I have a brother and a sister. (Actually 2 sisters if you count the one who our mom abandoned at birth. She's kind of weird. Get to that later) I'm a sickly cat my benefactors have spent over a grand to see me survive. This last time I got the good drugs for pain. It didn't go over well with my female benefactor. I guess she has never seen a kitty AFU enjoying the cartoon network for hours on end. Male benefactor has. Whole time she was crying, he told her I was AFU. He should know he takes Percoset when he twists his knee, and looks a lot like me.

My sister is another story. Her name is Puff. She is the one they bottle fed. She is also the head case. She still nurses off the stuffed moose my female benefactor got for Christmas. Both dogs, one a Rott are scared of her. The ferrets are another story,They make her run to a corner, and yow.

Took advantage of spring's belated arrival to attempt some basic training of my servant. I thought that, given the importance of communication, it would be a good idea to establish a rudimentary system of signals using a green disc. (Although the servant has demonstrated that she can hear and produce simple sounds, she has yet to say any words in Canine, thus preventing me from communicating with her directly.)

Alas, though the weather cooperated, I must report that the effort was wasted. Intelligent though she appears, my servant continually failed to comprehend my commands. In particular, whenever I picked up the green disc and carried it to a new location, it always took her a few moments to understand that she was to come over, pick it up, and bring it to me. Not only that, but she persisted in throwing the disc in my general direction, forcing me to jump or to run so as not to lose it altogether. (To be honest, I enjoyed the exercise, but it would be unseemly for me to acknowledge it to anyone outside of this forum.)

I did notice, in the course of the afternoon, that various beings of the same species as my servant stopped to observe me through the fence around the park. Two in particular appeared interested in our movements, and I wish I had a means of contacting them. Although they were somewhat shorter than my current servant, they appeared intelligent enough. If it were not for the great distance between us and the likelihood of their not understanding Canine, I would have offered them positions on the spot.

Day 2523

We are having such a delightful morning! First, We roused the acolyte from her slumber by licking her forehead to make her squeal and get out of bed. Then, We chased wrinkles in the sheets while the acolyte changed the bedding--We love being made up in the bed. While waiting for our morning's dry cereal, We perched on the desk shelf and chased Our Sister's tail while Our Sister hung her head over the side of the shelf and bleated soulfully at the acolyte to feed Us. Our Sister would have attempted to piss on the rug in the water torture chamber where she eats her meals, but the acolyte remembered to pull it out. The only thing that would make this morning better will be a nap (later) and to hack up a hairball or breakfast on the carpet.
