I think when a dog compulsively grooms until he creates a bald spot, that's an issue. Just like humans, they're all normal behaviours but there can be problems with frequency and degree.

I think most dogs do the compulsive licking thing.

My dog bites her nails. But other than that I couldn't really identify any odd behavior. The things she does, she does for a reason.
